Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LADA CARS is expanding into the UK light commercial marker with an unusual van conversion based on the latest Russian-built Lada Riva Estate car.

The Riva van is basically an estate with the rear windows blanked out, although the rear doors are retained allowing access to the load compartment Iron] the side as well as through the rear tailgate.

Two petrol engined vans arc being offered: the 48kW (64hp) 1,294cc, 370 van and the 54kW (72hp) 1,452cc, 820 model. Maximum torque of the 370 is

'98Nm (72 lbft), while the 870 van has a peak torque of 106Nrn (78 lbft). A fivespeed gearbox is standard on both vans.

For die operators looking for maximum flexibility, the Riva van can be fitted with the estate car's forward folding rear seat which costs an extra k:100. Standard vans, however, have a fixed floor and a pressed-steel load restraint barrier fitted in place of the seat.

The vans' full length wooden floor is 1,480m in long and maximum internal loading height is 900mm.

Botli models can carry a 350kg-plus payload and provide a load volume up to 1.17m3. For the heavier loads Lada fits a heavy-duty rear suspension.

The Riva van conversion is carried our by Lada Cars at its North Humberside import centre. It has full National Type Approval.

Price of the Lada 370 van is £2,995 plus VAT: the 870 van retails at £3,345 plus VAT. Both models carry a twoyear warranty.

C:ompleting Lada's CV line-up at the Glasgow show is a Niva 4x4, now available with a five-speed gearbox.
