ONE of Europe's last remaining independent commercial vehicle builders, ERF, has two vehicles on its stand. One is a 6 x 4 double drive, the other a 6 x 2 twin-steer CP series tractive unit. Both are plated for UK operation at 38 tonnes GCW.

The 6 x 4 unit has a 4m outer axle spread and has the ERE' SP3 sleeper cab. This is built of compressionmoulded GRP panels on :I steel sub-frame, and can be tilted to 60 degrees.
