DAYTON WALTHER 434

DAYTON Walther is exhibiting a range of fifth wheels, fifth-wheel kits and trailer landing legs.

The company has made its Trulok Slider lighter by using pressed steel sections for the sub-frame height spacers. These can be varied in size to give a choice of slider heights from 193 to 320m m. On the standard 250mm model about 16 kg is saved.

Dayton Walther's SJIV cast-steel fifth wheel, previously made by the company's American parent in the USA, is now made in Britain. It has the Trulok locking mechanism and has been refined to include a replaceable wear ring.

A complete installation kit has been developed for the new Volvo FL range. It incorporates the Trulok Fixed fifth wheel, sub-frame, ramps and electrical and air connections — in all weighing 205kg.

Revised kits offer longer coupling heights for the new Scania P92 range and Leyland tractive units.

Dayton Walther trailer equipment includes a range of draw bar couplings and hydraulic landing legs.
