ENCOURAGND by the growth of its replacement engine scheme for car-derived Bedford vans, General Motors Service Parts Operation is extending the GMX exchange unit programme to include heavier Bedfords from early next year.
.[he scheme will initially cover 3.6 and 5.4-litre RedSeries and 8.2-litre BlueSeries naturally-aspirated and turbocharged engines.
These will he followed by exchange gearboxes, axles, clutches, water pumps and other key components, and Lucas CAV fuel injection equipment may be added to the scheme.

Director Roy Rogers believed that GMSPO will double its sales in the next four years, and become British after-market leader by 1990.
