At a meeting Of Leeds Transport Committee, on Monday, it was decided to invite tenders for the supply of 30 oil-engined double-deck buses. An estimate of £50,000 was given as the probable total cost. Swansea Highways Dept. invitee tenders for the supply of a 3-ton petrol-engined tipping lorry. Forms of tender, etc., may be obtained from the borough engineer, Guildhall. Swansea, and tenders have to be delivered by December 4.

Wokingham Rural District Council is in the market for a 10-cubic-yd. refuse collector sad a 750-gallon petrol-driven cesspool emptier; an allowance will be required for existing vehicles. Further particulars may be had from the engineer's office, and tenders have to be delivered by 10 a.m. on November 27.
