Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Sindle & Sons has taken delivery of two custom-made tank trailers it developed to transport activated carbon.

The tankers, designed by MD Brian Sindle (below) and manufactured by Hamburg firm Felbinder, make transportation faster and more efficient. Each trailer has a fortified aluminium chassis, while the tanks are made from lightweight aluminium and have a special internal sprayed coating to minimise corrosion from carbon granules. They also feature a stainless steel filtration system produced by a supplier in Liverpool.

Further adaptations to the powder tanks include motorised valves, which open the water pipes, and a fall arrest system made by German manufacturer ABS, to ensure safety during operation. Each tank trailer weighs just 6.5 tonnes, but is capable of carrying 29 tonnes of granules or powder.

Sindle said the trailers, which cost £70,000 each, are working as expected, cutting operational times, and should last a decade thanks to their build quality. "Felbinder has done a brilliant job. The welds are continuous along the length of the tank, all identical, all perfect," he said.

Most of the firm's revenue comes from a contract transporting activated carbon granules to and from drinking water treatment plants in the UK and Ireland.
