SBG GETS SUCKLING: Suckling Transport has been bought by Italian

fuel transport firm Silvio Bertani Group (SBG). The deal, which was completed on 15 May, provides the Italian company with its first UK-based operation.
Suckling MD Peter Lamer said: "This development adds value to both organisations. While SBG and Suckling share a common safety ethos and management style, we can learn from each other."
The Essex-based fuel transport specialist had a turnover of £15.3m and made a pre-tax profit of £486,237 for the 12 months ending 31 March 2012.
SBG, one of the largest Italian logistics operators in the petroleum sector, has operations in France and Spain and has been trading since the 1950s.
