No one should be afraid to stand up to Vosa, and I believe hauliers are being intimidated with the threat of increased checking and the unfair application of the traffic light system, regardless of their record.
In your letter in CM 9 May, the haulier who received a GV9 for loose wheel nuts and subsequently found to be correctly torqued was in fear of challenging Vosa — this isn't right. No self-respecting haulier has a problem with their vehicle failing at a Vosa/ ATF station if it is a proper defect; but if it isn't, the lost time, money spent and a blemish on their record is too much to stomach.
