• The ultimate heavy CV recovery vehicle was shown this week at the Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators (AVRO) annual conference, in the shape of this 6x4 Volvo F12 chassis. Fitted with more than £45,000 worth of Wreckers International equipment, it is the first £100,000 breakdown truck in the UK. The F12 belongs to Staplehurst Recovery and features hydraulic gear with 22 functions. Its under-reach beam folds out of the way to allow the rectangular main beam to give a straight lift.
