iE LUCAS CAV Microjector has won one of Britain's top prizes for 'oduct design.
A 1981 Design Council Award has been bestowed on the Microjecr because its outward-opening nozzle valve eliminates for the first ne the need for fuel return pipes on high-pressure fuel injectors for esel engines, thus simplifying installation and making servicing uch easier.
The unit's minute size will also allow engine designers to reduce linder-head size and weight, and the Microjector has helped Genal Motors to meet America's tough legislation on fuel pollution, as all as reducing engine noise on diesel models.
