Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

under the totting-up procedure for three offences in three years. Will I have to take another driving test before getting my licence back and will I have to take a heavy goods vehicle test?

AYou will not have to take another driving

test to have your licence returned after six months' disqualification. As far as the heavy goods vehicle test is concerned, when this comes into operation anybody who can show that he has been regularly driving a vehicle of the type for which he wants the licence during the previous six months will automatically get a licence. If he cannot prove this, a test will have to be taken.

In your case, provided the regulations do not come into effect until six months after you have your licence reinstated you will automatically get a licence. If, however, the regulations do come before that you will have to take a heavy goods vehicle test.
