Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• An electric crane designed for use on trucks has been developed by Ledger Equipment Ltd., Airfield Estate, White Waltham, Berks, and is now in production. Maximum lifting capacity is 1,5001b and in the fully-extended position jib length is 7ft.

Power for the crane—the Electricraneis taken from the vehicle's battery and the unit has a reversible electric motor which drives a worm and gear winch transmission. The transmission housing bolts to the floor of the vehicle and supports the rotating spigot of the jib which can be angled in three positions or laid horizontally when not in use. Operation is controlled by a remote three-position switch.

A special sheave block allows the Ledger Electricrane to be used as a single-rope design or as a double-rope unit. With a single rope, capacity is limited to 7501b but at maximum operating speed, the double rope sheave increases lifting capacity to 1,5001b (but at half speed). Price of the Electricrane is £198 ex-works.
