Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• On Tuesday, at the Skyway Hotel, London Airport, Alcan Industries Ltd., of Banbury, announced, before an invited audience of bodybuilders and fleet owners, details of a new service scheme called -Speedmerchanr. The scheme offers commercial vehicle bodybuilders a 24-hour delivery service of stocklength sections or standard-size sheet and plate aluminium, or a three-day delivery service of cut sections or sized sheet and plate. Alcan claims that this will enable vehicle bodybuilders to offer a more flexible service by dealing with orders more quickly and to cut costs by drastically reducing stock levels.

The Speedmerchant service will operate within 30-mile radii around London and Birmingham through the Alcan stockist Alumi nium Goods Ltd., of Colnbrook. Bucks, and Saltley Trading Estate, Birmingham, or within 50-mile radii of Manchester and Leeds through Aston Steddal Warehouses Ltd. and G. W. Aluminium Ltd.

The Alcan promotion took the form of a display of various vehicles showing ways in which aluminium can be employed in bodybuilding. It is the first in a series, others following at the Excelsior Hotel, Birmingham Airport on May 29, at the Park Way Hotel, Leeds, on June 4 and at the Excelsior Hotel, Manchester Airport, on June 18.
