Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• With the official opening last week of an impressive 44--acre service and spares depot at Ripple Road, Barking, Essex, Crane Fruehauf. and Boden now have 12 service and regional parts depots. The new Barking centre is on the busy Al 3 in the heart of "operators' country", being eight miles from central London, eight from the Dartford-Purfleet tunnel and 14 from Tilbury Docks.

The depot is geared to handle major repairs or modifications to all makes of trailer, semi trailer, van, tanker and container. The present 11 -bay workshop will be more than doubled in size by the middle of this year.

Service, inspection and maintenance facilities to MoT test standards are offered, and there is a large parts store for off-the-shelf spares. Complete rebuilding of containers can be undertaken.

A radio-controlled mobile service vehicle is located at Tilbury Docks to handle running repairs to trailers and containers.

The new depot is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and to 12.30 p.m. on Saturday. A skeleton staff will operate on public holidays. The telephone number is 01-5920102/3. telex 262909.

The size of this new installation may be judged from the fact that 30 trailers and/or vehicles were displayed at last week's official opening and were accommodated comfortably, leaving considerable free space in the large buildings and extensive hard-standings on the site.
