• Refuse collection vehicles with fully automatic transmission are now available from Shelvoke and Drewry Ltd., of Letchworth. The vehicles are in the well known Pakamatic range, and tests are claimed to have shown that the incorporation of the Allison transmission gives exceptionally smooth performance in traffic-congested streets, greatly reducing vehicle wearand-tear and driver-fatigue.
