• Nearly 30% of trains dedicated to the Eurotunnel's LGV Le Shuttle service ran at least 10 minutes late during January and February—and 3% were delayed by more than half an hour, says Eurotunnel. More than 100,000 trucks have now passed through the Chunnel.
Eurotunnel says most of the delays occur at night and are caused by maintenance work.
Eurotunnel is playing down the recent capture of a dog in the service tunnel It had evaded the anti-rabies traps at the French end of the Chunnel and was spotted trotting towards England. The would-be immigrant was handed over to the French authorities.
