• Transport Development Group has decided to appeal against the decision of North Western Deputy Licensing Authority John Levin, refusing licence authority for Inter-City Transport to continue operating from a former RAF station at Buttonwood, Warrington.
The DLA's decision followed bitter opposition from the local authority and neighbouring residents at a Warrington public inquiry (CM 9-15 and 16-22 March).
Before the appeal was lodged, Levin's decision was due to take effect from 31 March.
