THE LIKELY game of cat-and-mouse over service registration in the run-up to deregulation worried county council transport coordinators last week.
A conference organised by the Association of Transport Co-ordinating Officers (Atco) heard from United Counties general manager John Tate that their hopes that operators would engage in pre-consulta tion were "whistling in the dark."
"Our registration documents will come through the letter box at 23.59 on the last available day along with everyone else's," he warned.
