NFC PARCELS GROUP, which comprises the National Freight Consortium interests of Roadline UK and National Carriers Parcels Division, has its first group systems and resource planning director.
Roger TrigsII has been appointed to the new post, which has been created as part of the reorganisation of the NFC's parcels activities.
Since 1980 he has been director of marketing for Parcels Group, but he joined NFC as group consultancy manager with BRS in 1972.
Three years later he was made product manager, distribution and consultancy, moving to Roadline in 1978 as director of marketing.
In his new job Mr Trigell will be responsible for establishing operational and financial systems within the parcels group.
His tasks will also include the provision of improved management control information, the development of new systems to
LONDON Regional Transport has named the board of London Buses, one of three new subsidiaries due to start operating on April 1 (see also Coach and Bus news, page 19, this issue). The board will comprise: chairman and managing director — John Telford Beasley; finance directorand company secretary — Clive Hodson; personnel director — John Ingleton; development director Derek Keeler; technical director — Terry Lowe; operations director — Marcus Smith; nonexecutive director — Barry Dale.
London Buses will run the day-to-day affairs of LRT's bus business.
