If the Transport and General Workers Union's Midlands kyatollah is ever ennobled by a perverse Prime Minister, he Lihould take the title, Lord Law of the Jungle. He places himself above the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, which has found Britain in breach of the Treaty of Rome in not enacting the EEC regulation on tachographs.
Alan Law is reported as promising with obvious relish that if the Government honours its obligations as a civilised member of the EEC, there will be a strike of lorry drivers that will completely paralyse Britain. Is he not satisfied with the damage that members of his union have already done to this country?
