WE ARE ALL hit by the tacho — employer, driver and administrator. I myself wrote personally to Baroness Steadman warning of the consequences of tacho enforcement without talking six months ago. I did not have the acknowledgment of a personal reply, just a letter from the Ministry of Transport stating that all my points were just a matter of conjecture at that time, so that no one can say they haven't been told. Drivers are not looking for confrontation at all. What they are saying is: no enforcement without consultation. J. SULLIVAN, Fairwater, Cardiff.
