And the end of the notorious "tankshine" could be in sight if the EEC accepts a draft directive from the commission freeing the fuel in the tanks of commercial vehicles from duty.
National taxation systems for commercial vehicles could also be adjusted to form a Community-wide standard policy if the ministers of the Nine accept the idea.
