Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A MONG the new vehicles ordered for r-V delivery this year by Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., are 20 Leyland AtIantean double-deck coaches for use on mediumdistance express services. Unlike the existing "Gay Hostess" Atlantean coaches used by Ribble and the subsidiary Standerwick concern on longdistance services, these will not be fitted with refreshment servery and toilet facilities. The seating capacity will, as a result, be increased from 50 to 59. The new vehicles arc to replace the company's well-known "White Lady" double-deck

coaches based on Leyland Titan chassis.

Scout Motor Services, Ltd., recently acquired by Ribble, are to receive six single-deck 36-ft.-long 40-seater coaches with servery and toilet compartment.

The new Ribble fleet for stage carriage service, comprising 45 Leyland Titans and 14 Leyland Atlanteans, all • with 72-seat double-deck bodywork, will be equipped with flubrescent interior lighting. This has now been adopted as standard for all new Ribble vehicles following favourable passenger reaction to 50 double-deckers which entered service last year. COACH AND BUS SALES NOW rOACH sales have been introduced at the Measham (Leics) auction sales run by Southern Counties Car Auctions. Ltd. The first sale, comprising about 100 coaches and double-decker buses, was held last Tuesday and the company plan to hold similar sales regularly.

BRISTOL FARES TO RISE?
