QEVENTY TWO classified road schemes, each costing over £100.000, planned for London and the other English conurbations were announced in the Commons last week by Mr. Marples. He said that the schemes for I.ondon and the West Midlands went up to 1964, those for South East Lancashire and the
West Riding to 1962, and for Tyneside to 1963.
Later schemes for the provincial conurbations had not yet been finally selected, while those costing between £100,000 and £500,000 for London in 1962-63 and 1963-64 were still under consideration.
