to normal facilities, which are to he strengthened, will be operated by London Transport during the Festival Of -Britain. These will deal with the expected new flows-of traffic.
Another Festival feature will be twohour bus tours of London, run hourly
at a fare of 2s. 6d. Double-deckers will be used. On all the services mentioned, attractively designed tickets will be issued which may be retained by passengers as souvenirs.
Green Line services will be augmented and tours increased.
Extra demands for staff will be met
by a special recruiting drive. The delivery programme of new buses has been planned so that more vehicles will he available for the Festival. Old vehicles will be temporarily retained, so that for the Festival period the size of the bus fleet will be increased by about ISO.
