Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NOTHER Scottish operator, R. PIDickson (Junr.), Ltd., Dundee, is proposing to operate an express service from Scotland to London. This time the service suggested runs from Aberdeen to London, the single fare proposed being £3 and the return fare £4 5s.

An application to this effect is before the Metropolitan Licensing Authority, the service to operate from May to September and to serve Stonehaven, Montrose, Arbroath, Dundee and Perth as well as Aberdeen.

TIMSON-YORKSHIRE FACTORING ARRANGEMENT •

THE Newcastle branch of Timson Bros. (England), Ltd., is to trade as a separate company, Tirnson Bros. (Northern), Ltd., under a board of directors drawn from Timson Bros. (England), Ltd., and the Yorkshire Factoring Co., Ltd. Day-to-day management of the new concern will be supervised by the Yorkshire Factoring Co., Ltd, Should the results of this arrangement meet expectations, a general amalgamation of Timson's and Yorkshire Factoring's interests may be arranged.

FESTIVAL GUIDE BOOKS TO BRITAIN

A NEW series of guide books entitled

"About Britain," is being sponsored by the Festival of Britain Office, and published by William Collins, Sons and Co., Ltd.

Ten volumes covering England and Wales were issued last Monday; and two on Scotland and one on Northern Ireland will appear on April 16. Each covers a general "portrait" written by an expert on the district, a series of strip road maps of suggested tours and a gazetteer. They will he illustrated, and each cover will bear a map of the whole district. The price is.being kept at 3s. 6d„ made possible; by .a generous subsidy from the Brewers' Soeiety.
