AFTER Cllr. R. Eaves, chair an of Coventry Transport Co mince, had addressed the Canley br nch of the Amalgamated Engineering Union on the operation of the bus undeirtaking. the branch passed a resoluti n that workers' cheap fares be ab lished. The Coventry district committ of the A.E.U.. however, has now rej ted the proposal.
"1 did not start out with the idea of campaigning against workmen fares," air. Eaves said last week, " bu now it has been suggested by some of he men themselves, I shall."
The undertaking's estimated I ss next year is £67,000.
