FIRE PREVENTION EXHIBITION

AN exhibition on fire prevention in the home was opened in the showrooms of Rootes Motors, Ltd., Devonshire House, Piccadilly, London, W.1, last Monday.

A large part of it is a touring show, including a film display, which is on view for the first time. It has been prepared by the Home Office, and the London Fire Brigade has participated in the exhibition at Devonshire House.

COSTS OVERTAKE REVENUE

THE main fares structure of the York' shire Traction Co., Ltd., had not altered since before the 1930 Act, but at long last the steep rise in operating costs had overtaken revenue. Mr. Raymond Birch, chairman of the company, made this statement recently, when he presented awards to 34 employees who had each completed 25 years of service to the concern.
