FOUR MASKED men forced their way into a portable office at A&F Haulage’s premises on St Helens Road in Bolton during a raid that took place at 3pm on Friday 17 June.
The offenders, who were armed with an axe, machete and a baseball bat, stole a substantial amount of cash and stuffed it into a plastic bag, before driving off in a red A-class Mercedes-Benz, according to Greater Manchester Police. One A&F employee suffered a cut to his head, and another had a cut to his hand. Both were treated in hospital.
DC Dave Harris of Bolton CID says: “The staff involved are extremely upset, having been subjected to such a violent ordeal. The culprits are determined and dangerous men with access to weapons, so we need to catch them.” Anyone with any information can contact the force on 0161 865 5765, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
