Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A WAR OF WORDS has erupted between the URTU union and Corby Chilled Distribution over union recognition.

URTU regional officer Dave Swan says when the union's mobile office was parked outside the firm's Heywood, Lanes depot Corby management called the police "because they said the office was blocking the depot's entrance. It wasn't.The police came and told us we had parked safely".

Swan adds that Corby management warned drivers, that if they visited the mobile office during working hours they "would be disciplined. That's why so few drivers came to see us during the day".

However, Corby MD lain Stewart says: -This is ridiculous. No drivers were threatened with disciplinary action and URTU did not ask permission for their office to be parked on a private estate road.

"We didn't call the police, we talked to the traffic warden department. URTU wants us to recognise them but it won't happen."

But Swan remains confident of a successful outcome, saying: -We are knocking on the door."
