• London Buses is being restructured into 11 quasiautonomous units in preparation for the sale of the capital's bus services, and has announced the appointment of 10 unit general managers.
Half the appointments have been made from within London Buses and include: Bryan Constable (SeIkent district), John Withey (Wandle district), Peter Hendy (District operating manager — special duties), Declan O'Farrell (Leaside district-finance) and Stephen Clayton (Leaside district-operating).
The other five appointments are: Douglas Adie (ex-United Transport Buses finance director), Keith Ludeman (Burnley and Pendle Transport Company and Viscount General managing director), David Humphrey (head postmaster London W1), Thomas Young (South Yorkshire Transportcommercial), and Colin Chubb (London Country South West managing director).
