• The Road Vehicles Lighting (Amendment) Regulations 1987, which came into force at the start of the year, require vehicles with a maximum speed of 25inph (40km/h) to use a visible warning beacon when travelling along dualcarriageways. Since the changes came into effect, Ring reports sales of its beacons to have risen by a factor of five, and it has now re-sourced a more complete Italian range.
With a voltage range of between nine and 28, these beacons are available with a choice of mounts including pole, flush, bolt and magnetic. All are constructed of impactresistant methacrylate and feature a flash rate of 130-150 per minute.
