• A Bosch roadshow is touring England to demonstrate to workshop operators how stateof-the-art diagnostic automotive testing can significantly raise their efficiency and business performance.
Bosch is the only company to make vehicle systems as well as the equipment to test them. The exhibition displays the Bosch CompacTest range of micro-computer controlled engine testers, together with the latest Bosch equipment for testing Jetronic petrol injection systems.
"Every year motor vehicles become more sophisticated," says Bosch. "Developments like petrol-injection produce higher performance, but they also demand a greater degree of expertise in routine maintenance and fault diagnosis."
With today's vehicles — commercials and cars — containing more electronic control systems with each model, the key to increased efficiency in every garage must start with its test equipment.
"Some in the trade hang on to the belief that the old methods will carry them through. But the garage that lacks the equipment to pinpoint faults swiftly and accurately is the garage that will lose out."
