A Havoline engine oil formulated by Texaco is claimed to resist thickening, even under very high engine temperatures, and to protect against rust, wear and sludge deposits. It also ensures crankcase ventilation-system cleanliness. Moreover, it has favourable shear stability and protects the engine during sustained high-speed motorway driving and constant stop-start running in congested traffic. It is available in 20W/50 and 10W/40 grades.
