Lord Stokes, chairman and managing director of BLMC, has announced that George Turnbull, a deputy managing director of BLMC with responsibility for Austin Morris, is now also taking responsibility for the truck and bus division, from Lord Stokes. The day-to-day management of the division will continue to be controlled by Ron Ellis. These changes are brought about by British Leyland's policy of increasing management delegation.

McDonald, general manager of Sheffield Transport, are vice-chairmen.

Brian James Smith, 40, previously transport and plant engineer, West Glamorgan Water Board, Swansea, has been appointed group fleet engineer in Roneo Vickers Office Equipment Group, operating at Lansdowne Road, Croydon.

John Hodge, 47, has moved from Falkirk to become commercial manager of the Midland area of National Carriers Ltd, taking charge of the marketing and selling of NCL services in a territory that includes the West Midlands, North West England and North Wales. Mr Hodge began his career at Bottles in Scotland.

Tony Matthews has joined Red Post Transport Ltd, London, as transport manager, from the TM post for Hotchkiss Engineering, Eastbourne. He will be in charge of improving the operation of Red Post's vehicles employed in London and Home.Counties collections and redistribution for UK and Continental customers and hauliers.

Alec Dune, director-general of the AA, has been elected president of the Organization Mondiafe du TourisMe IOTA), in succession to Wilfrid Andrews, until recently chairman of the RAC. B. R. Hayward, general manager and director of Carryfast Ltd, has, for personal reasons, decided to leave Miles Druce Group service with effect from July 1. D. J. Peter Liechti has been appointed marketing manager of the transport, packing and warehousing division of Bullens Transport Group. Mr Liechti, who previously held marketing positions with RACE International and Pickfords International {both National Freight Corporation companies), will be based at the Boreham Wood offices of Bullens London Ltd.

K. J. Matthews has been appointed director and general manager of the heavy haulage company, R. K. Crisp (Haulage) Ltd of Birmingham, subsidiary of Richards and Wallington Industries Ltd. Mr Matthews has been manager of the company since its acquisition 18 months ago: it now has depots in Holland and France. Mr Matthews retains his responsibility for the group's general transport fleet.

G. Parkinson has been appointed production services manager of Pitt Trailers Ltd. Mr Parkinson joins Pitt from the Plessey Organization.

W. R. Sant, 38, has been appointed a director in addition to his present job as chief designer of Enots Ltd. Mr Sant joined the company in 1967. G. H. Birch, 38, becomes works director designate and will succeed B. M. D. Barker upon the latter's retirement in October.
