AWe presume you are referring to the code
of practice just issued by the Ministry of Health on hygiene in the operation of coin operated food vending machines. These are not statutory regulations—the code has no statutory force and does not interpret the requirements of the Food Hygiene Regulations.
The code was prepared in collaboration with the Automatic Vending Machine Association of Britain and gives advice, among other items, on the handling of food and the siting of machines.
