THE U-FIT, a new tailboard loader from USI Engineering Ltd. can be fitted by non-specialists in three hours and easily be transferred from one vehicle to another, it is claimed.
The loader will lift up to 15 cwt. and is produced by widths from 6 ft. to 7 ft. 6 in. Corner posts house twin hydraulic rams which are supplied by an electrically-driven hydraulic pump deriving current from the battery.
Special features include a control valve in the connection between the rams enabling the tailboard to be canted up to 9 in. to one side or the other and providing for compensation of an off-centre load.
