MR. C. E. ALDRIDGE, general manager of Nuffield Exports, Ltd., retires on June 30, after 40 years in the motor industry.
MR. T. N. H. WARD has joined Sentinel (Shrewsbury), Ltd., as northwestern sales representative, commencing July 1.
MR A. KILLE has been appointed a permanent branch manager of the British Wagon Co., Ltd., at its Reading and district office.
MR. G. W. BATTENSBY, traffic manager of the Northern General Transport Co., Ltd., has been awarded the M.B.E. in the Birthday Honours.
MR. R. G. ADAMS has taken over the representation of the North British Rubber Co., Ltd., in the counties of Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
Mn. ANDREW Ross SIMPSON has been appointed chief assistant to the solicitor for Scotland in the department of the chief solicitor of the British Transport Commission.
M R. BADEN POW ELL has been elected chairman of the Yorkshire region of the Institute of the Motor Industry. The chairman of the Hull centre is M R. K. TARRAN, and MR. J. PEARSON is chairman of the Sheffield centre. - MR. G. F. SINCLAIR, chief technical planning and supplies officer of the London Transport Executive, has been elected chairman of the Metropolitan section of the Institute of Transport. Mn. W. H. GAIAT. MR. J. W. S. BRA NCK E.R and M R. F. Ci II BERT have been elected vice-chairmen. MR. C. F. KING has been • elected honorary secretary.
MR. J. S. IN ICHOLL, at present chief officer (organization) of the Road Haulage Executive. will become chief officer (research and charges), with responsibility for road-rail integration, as from July 1, following changes in R.H.E. headquarters organization. MR. J. B. GARRETT, Eastern divisional, manager, will take over Mr. Nicholl's present post, and MR. D. H. FOULDS, Southeastern divisional parcels services manager, will become deputy chief traffic officer (commercial). MR. N. D. FAWKNER, deputy chief traffic officer (operations), will become deputy chief traffic officer (parcels operations), and Ma. S. F. KNELLER, deputy chief traffic officer (commercial services), will become deputy chief traffic officer (general haulage operations). MR. C. N. CHRISTENSEN, Manchester district manager, will succeed Mr. Garrett. Mn...R. W. MITCHELL, chief assistant to the South-eastern divisional parcels services manager, will succeed Mr. Foulds. Mn. W. A. BRIDGE, Liverpool district manager, will be responsible for the meat traffic interests of the special traffics division.
