FOR some years Steering Steadies, Ltd., la, Oldridge Road, BaIbare, London, S.W.12, has been marketing a device for preventing frontwheel wobble on private cars, and this has met with considerable success, many

thousands having been sold. During this time the company has occasionally received orders for commercial-vehicle types, and lately the demand in this field has increased, the result being that a special design for this class of work ia now available at 64s. complete. Briefly, the device consists of a friction disc attached to the front axle by a suitable bracket, the top moving disc being attached to the track rod by a springloaded arm and lever. The friction obtainable can be adjusted by the hacknuts on the centre spindle of the friction disc,, pressure being maintained by a coil spring. This new type " C " for commercial vehicles is robustly constructed and fittings are now ready for its attachment to most of the popular makes of chassis. •
