Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• About 2,000 lorry loads a year will switch to rail between London and Glasgow following the launch of Parcelforce Worldwide's "piggyback" ,ormoclar by English Welsh & Scottish Railway.

NFC has acquired the of the Walsh Western Group, which will now trade as Exel Logistics Walsh Western.

at The Highways Agency and RaiItrack have signed a memorandum of understanding in

a bid to the road and rail networks.

• MoT will rise from £29.42 to 230.97 for light vans and from £31.60 to 232.77 for light goods vehicles on 1 August.

Atlas International Carriers • In CM 25 June-1 July an Industry News story on the collapse of freight forwarder Euro-Forwarding referred to the losses incurred by one of its creditors, Atlas International Carriers. It stated that Atlas managing director Patricia Bolton and her husband Bob were also former employees of Phoenix Cargo, which itself ran into difficulties last August. We would like to point out that at no time were Mr and Mrs Bolton responsible for Phoenix's operations, and that they were also creditors following its collapse—it was never our intention to suggest otherwise. We regret any embarrassment which may have resulted to the Boltons and their company Atlas following their inclusion in the article.
