• British Oxygen Company is acquiring a fleet of nine 3.5-tonne Ford Transits which use specially developed swap body mini tankers. The vehicles, together worth around £150,000, have been specially developed by bodybuilder JS Fraser (Oxford), de-mount specialist Ray Smith Demountables of Peterborough, and tank builder A and S Scientific of Abingdon.
By using demountable bodies BOC saves the expense and time associated with purging tanks. The company has bought 16 demountable tank bodies and dedicates the tanks for particular substances.
