PARCELS" DISTRIBUTION company Courier Express has acquired the Midlands-based parcels carrier J. Brevitt.
Courier has 26 depots and a fleet of 450 vehicles. It has acquired Brevitt to back up its nextday delivery service with a two or three-day service, which many companies prefer, especially with larger consignments.
Courier Express director Mike Swain said: "The combined volumes of the two businesses will make Courier a major force in the total parcels market, handling well over 10 million parcels a year."
