AMobile cranes are excused from plating and testing by virtue of Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 of the Goods Vehicles (Plating and Testing) Regulations 1971, Paragraph 10 of this schedule also exempts electrically propelled vehicles. Your unit is, therefore, exempt on both counts.
