• Eaton Yale and Towne (UK) Ltd, transmission division, Worsley, Manchester, has announced that various Fuller Roadranger twin-countershaft multi-speed transmissions, now imported from the parent company in America, will be produced in this country in the near future. Production of the Model RT /909 series nine-speed gearbox with a torque rating of 900 lb It will be starting in November of this year.

The Roadranger RTO /913 (overdrive) 900 lb ft 13-speed gearbox will be in production in January 1972, while models in the RT /915 and RTO /915 (overdrive) series will be manufactured in the UK as and when the need arises; these gearboxes are 15-speed units with a torque rating of 900 lb ft.

The Roadranger RT /610 and RTO /610 (overdrive) 10-speed 600 lb ft gearboxes are currently manufactured in this country together with Eaton ENV ranges of five-speed single lay-shaft gearboxes of the constant mesh and synchromesh type, a six-speed synchromesh unit and a four-speed synchromesh box with four reverse speeds.
