MOVE OVER Eddie Stobart Trucks & Trailers: there's a new trucking show in town. TruckWorld TV, a new series promising Top Gear-style entertainment for trucks, is being launched on Thursday 30 January.
Presented by the former presenters of Truck on Men & Motors, Rob Hallam (pictured left) and Tim Campbell (right), the show's first episode will begin with a trip to the Volvo truck factory in Tuve, Sweden, followed by a poll asking truck drivers how long they think the UK would last without trucks.
Later episodes will have reviews of the new Volvo FH, Renault T and Daf XF, as well as short films shot at the Moscow motor show and Commercial Motor Live in October.
Six episodes of the 30-minute show, filmed at the award-winning J38 Truck Stop on the M6, will be broadcast.
The first episode will air at 730pm on 30 January on Showcase 2 (Sky channe1192 and Freesat 402) and will be repeated on Sundays at 3.30pm, during which an advert by Road Transport Media, publisher of CM, will make its TV debut.
