Supplying premium quality staff uniforms has been a part of MP Burke Transport's ethos since day one. Even before a certain Carlisle-based haulier insisted on wheelmen wearing shirts and ties, this Renfrewshire operation turned out its drivers in a full uniform. In 1992 an industry magazine reported: "MP Burke's uniformed drivers were amongst the
smartest on the road." Several years ago, a trip to a round of the British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park, saw MD Martin Burke notice the high-quality shirts and trousers worn by all the major teams. This boss now sources his bespoke uniforms, complete with corporate colours, red piping and company logos, from Nottinghamshire-based Techmax. Martin says: "Most of the motorsport clothing companies weren't keen to supply smaller order quantities, but Techmax were used to supplying organisations with fewer numbers of personnel, like the Superbike teams."
