Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Earlier this year Ryder launched its new website, usedapproved.ryder.com. De-fleeted vehicles are placed into one of five categories, and there is a comprehensive filter in place to locate particular brands and specifications.

Nigel Martin explains: "All vehicles will be visible but with limited information; in the main customers know exactly what they want so they need to navigate easily around the site. Ryder has a fast turnover of stock, sub-three months, so we want to encourage customers to be confident to ask for anything that isn't there. We can pull vehicles from existing and active fleets to fulfil requirements." There is a specialist vehicle listing for gully suckers and refuse vehicles, and Ryder says it will list both de-fleeted assets and more generic rental vehicles on

the fleet to act as a shop window. Among the latter will be more bespoke vehicles.

For Martin, bespoke is defined by changing the colour (from default white) and adjusting height and body specifications as well any specification driven by the customer. Across the used truck market the number of quality Euro-5 used trucks available is in short-supply. "We have ongoing

enquiries for all marques of trucks and especially for generic low-mileage Euro-5s. We are selling a high proportion of Euro-4s at the moment. We found that during the past 12 to 18 months where initial contracts have been extended by six months or a year, we have been selling assets that has been replaced with new Euro-5s. "It means the trucks have been slightly older," he adds.
