• Narbethbased Wendy Smith, trading as Smiths Haulage, had her twovehicle/one-trailer licence revoked by South Wales Licensing Authority John Mervyn Pugh after she failed to attend a Cardiff disciplinary inquiry.
Mervyn Pugh said he had information that Smith was no longer using her authorised operating centre, and although details of her operating centre and maintenance arrangements had been requested on two occasions, she had not replied.
A number of convictions had been recorded against Smith, and in July the Traffic Area was told that IRS Engineering was owed in excess of £7,000 for vehicle repairs.
Letters calling Smith to a public inquiry had not been returned. However, a telephone call had been received, saying that the licence was to be surrendered and a fresh licence applied for in the Eastern Traffic Area.
