Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A SCOTTISH insurance company has launched a haulage package which is linked to tachograph recorded mileage, and claims that operators will be able to reclaim up to a fifth of the premium at the end of the period.

Hogg Robinson, of 19 Torphichen Street, Edinburgh, has launched its mileage policy which covers such options as motor, goods in transit, fire and special perils, business interruption, book debts, burglary and liabilities.

At the beginning of the contract period, an estimate of fleet mileage will be agreed, but tachograph data collected during the term of the insurance will enable adjustments to be made at the end of the period. According to the company, this could be an adjustment of up to 20 per cent.

The scheme, which is underwritten by General Accident Fire and Life Assurance, provides cover of £250,000 per vehicle, £1m on any one occurrence, and £5,000 per container.
