A STRIKE by delivery drivers at the Leamington-based Car Transport Ltd is threatening deliveries of Jaguar and Triumph.

The strike is now also threatening production at the Leyland factories as storage space becomes scarce.

Car Transport's managing director, Mr Derek Beaumont, said this week that the 120 men had come out because of an internal dispute over manning levels. "At a meeting with the shoi stewards we got an agreemen. that the men would go back t( work but when they held ; mass meeting the men turned down," said Mr Beaumont.
